Do you plan on finishing it or do you think it can survive without a finish?

    Nice!
That should look and sound killer! I played a Warmoth fretless 5 with Bart pre and pups for 8 years. Great sounding and playing bass.
I've got a Gecko 5 neck and body scheduled for UPS delivery this Friday! I can't wait to start putting it together!

Ooo, you have no idea how much I hate you right now. :D Very nice! Did you ask for the Warmoth logos on the head, or do they put those on whether you want 'em or not?

You might be lucky, but usually a nut needs to be custom made to fit the instrument & personal taste.

I presume its filed down, the other nut is described as a blank nut

but I have a problem, the pots are too short to be tightened, can I just glue it?

    Holy **** Jonki!
That one sweet bass you got there. Wow!
That PU are very mighty. I'm interested in a mp3 too when you're finished.

Pots not long enough? Even without the rings?
I won't glue them. It must fit. Try harder!

thanks! samples are coming :) I have tried over and over, it's not long enough :( :meh: the only option is to glue'em on

  18. Hmm... Can't you just rout small recesses in the bottom of the cavity? If you do so, make sure you leave enough room around the pots so the wires don't touch the shielding.

I don't think glueing them is a good idea...

They're unfinished, but you can pay Warmoth to do it for you. However, some of the exotic woods don't require finishing... Like Padouk or Wenge... I'm not sure about Goncalo.

Anyway, I've always liked the way Goncalo looks. You MUST show pics when you're done...

Ditto what JT said, regarding routing a little more outta the cavity to make the pots fit better.
