I responded to a for sale add posted by Greyvegabond. The item was a pickup and a price was agreed upon. I mailed him a check and after no PM for a week I sent him a PM and he stated he received the check on 12/17. (cutting to the chase) I sent him another PM on Monday and he replied saying that the PU would be sent out on that day and that he would PM me with a tracking num. As of today no PM and no response to my PMs. Very disappointed. Any suggestions on how to recover??

Well, maybe he's just a space case and needs some peer pressure... come-on Greyvegabond... don't be a ____________... mail the pickups today!

I don't believe that TB takes any responsibility for the sales. Leave him negative feedback and chalk it up as a lesson learned. I know if I see less that a 100% feedback for anyone I'm going to read what was posted.

hopefully thats the case and that they will arrive soon.

i know you cant always get to an item and pick it up but i would always reccomend using something like paypal where you can. no one loses out and for the added security you can always agree to paying the fee's, that way no one can complain to do the transaction like that and your insured?

i know its not a help now so lets hope those pickup's arrive

if you sent him a cheque then you'll have his address pay him a visit and pick them up yourself in person there might be a good reason for his abscence

That's a bummer man, hopefully he'll come through. You're probably in the .00001% of people having issues with buying and selling with other TB'ers.

Hey he's probably just not 'on top of it'. I'll bet he'll get his heinny in gear after this. He just hasn't made the effort to go to the Post Office or whatever.

Maybe he was waiting for the check to clear and is not very talkative? Here's hoping.

Did the check clear yet? You could place a temporary hold on it otherwise.

There's only one solution. Kidnap his children and send him a toe every day until the pickups arrive.

Seriously, though, he's probably just lazy...or maybe stoned. I'd agree with the "he'll probably get his butt in gear after this" sentiment.

  11. This is a shame. Whenever I meet other players who don't know about our site I always tell them that this never happens between TBers. Good luck.

I hope the seller mans up and does the right thing.

His last activity on here was yesterday (3:04) and he didnt contact you?
I had a similar experience a month or so ago with a fellow TB'r who dragged his feet until it got ugly.
Hope this one works out for you!

Just searched for him on TB. Did you mean Greyvagabond instead of Greyvegabond? Maybe we could all shoot him some emails, kind of police our own here?

Taking a glance at his profile/feedback indicates that he is not the most adept communicator in the world.

Chances are you will get your pups eventually. I would keep trying to contact him.

I don`t know if it`s gonna be useful but I once bought a bass and had to wait 3 months to get it shipped. Everything ended up OK.

Be patient and try to contact the seller, maybe he`s gone into some kinda of trouble, or he`s simply lazy.
Check out if another TBer from the same area, can help you contact him.

    Good luck
