Got this beauty yesterday

    I received this MIA Fender Precision Bass from Sweetwater Music yesterday. What a beauty! The finish is Blizzard Pearl and it is just gorgeous. The overall construction, fit and finish is extraordinary and now I know why the MIA Fender basses cost what they do. The bass setup was pretty good but after tweaking to my preferences it feels so good to play. The sound is what you expect from a GOOD quality Fender Precision, just the sound I'm looking for. ( I prefer the Pbass sound over my Fender 70's Classic Jazz) It came with a Fender case and it is a SERIOUS case that should protect the bass well. I was comtemplating putting a black pickguard on the Pbass but after seeing it in person I feel the parchment pickguard suits the bass well. This Pbass was a NOS that Sweetwater had and is a 2008. I got it for $799.99 with free shipping. The people at Sweetwater were a pleasure to deal with and constantly sent me emails to tell the status of the order and to me were very personable. I will purchase gear from them in the future. The shipping from Indiana to Maryland was 3 days, exceptionable considering they paid for shipping.Here are a few photos.

    Congrats! That was a good deal. I have it's "cousin" (an '08 Amer. Std. Jazz in Blizzard Pearl). I also have an '08 Am. Std. Precision. They're both very nice basses. Excellent tone, and very comfortable.

    I can see where you'd originally thought a black pickguard would be in order. Try it anyway, that way you can claim to have 2 :D

    I can't say enough about the 2008-2009 American Standards. They are just amazing instruments IMO. The quality, workmanship and tone is the best to come out of Fender in 45 years IMO.

    I have 2 2008 American Standard Ps (a 4 and a 5) and will be pulling the trigger on a Jazz in the near future.... in Blizzard Pearl! Great colour!

    Nice price and beautiful bass. Gotta love that Blizzard Pearl. Beautiful color in person.

    That Pearl with a white PG is nicely understated. Very nice!!!!

    Wow.... you've done very well for yourself Mister...:) . . . a big "congratulations" and "attaboy!" are darn well deserved at this point. You are right, that case is really outstanding.

    Those Fender/SKB cases are fantastic. I picked one up a few weeks ago from American Musical Supply for $116 to my door. Cost more than my bass. :eek: :D
