Pau ferro fretboard made in 2017 Mexico. But no Fender special edition logo on the back of the headstock. Can someone help me check is fake or real? Kinda worry about it. 4733CFB0-9E1E-4240-9825-D343C7953483.jpg 6C4B9BC0-A2F8-4856-8D53-30BF3EC03761.jpg C2D9F976-A512-45C9-BC85-16A8E5D956CE.jpg

You'll have more luck posting this on the electric bass side of the board.

You might could research GC FSR offerings. Sometimes, a color will be specific for those. Do you see any glue residue where the badge may have been? Last, if you got this from GC new, I'd get them to verify it as being what you think.

  5. Why would someone fake an MIM, especially if they're going to use such nice looking wood, in natural?

Yes, ash body, natural finish. but no Fender Special Edition logo on the back of the headstock is kind wired.

Here's a 2015 model with Rosewood fret board that I recently bought... one of the warmest basses I've ever played!
