Gotoh tuning machines (and the Basses that are attached to them)

What basses are attached to Gotoh tuners?

From what I can tell, some of the best basses that can be had come with Gotoh tuners. Fodera, for example.

And that is just the beginning. Boutique and Customs is where I really notice a preference for Gotoh. I was just looking at pictures of yet another gorgeous bass with these little sealed tuners.

I like the look of the little open gear hipshots going strictly by looks - and yet I own a custom bass with, guess what?

Gotoh.

So, the question is...what's up wit dat!
