I think I'm in love. My wife even admitted a girl crush on her and said "she's adorable" (to which I responded "Can we take her home?? :D)

Seriously though, Grace Potter blew my mind tonight at a show at Harrah's Casino in Council Bluffs, IA (next to Omaha, NE). This woman has so much energy and talent - and her band is impeccable. This show proved that face-melting rock 'n roll is not dead... holy !$^@. :bassist:

I enjoyed her live show on VH! but I find the recordings too polished and less of the face melting rock that you describe.

I like Grace Potter, thinking of my cover band playing Paris. Missed her on this tour, I'm curious what the band is like live. Their music is good but "face-melting" isn't a phrase I would have picked for most it. Looks-wise, she is pretty, but not my type. Congrats on your wife's girl-crush though!

I like their indie days better before "Paris" case in point look up "Joey" before she rocked a Gibson flying V she jammed a piano.

She if you guys didn't know is legaly blind.

Grace and the Nocturnals were interviewed on the short lived Cee Lo Green's Talking With Strangers interview show on Fuse when she said it. Cee Lo wasn't sitting maybe 5 feet away from her when she brought up the fact she's legally blind and she just saw him as a blur.

Wow, interesting. I assume she can still see with contacts/glasses? She was running around like a madwoman at the show and I imagine she needed to be able to see at least somewhat where she was going - running up and down the aisle into the crowd and such.

Yeah, I'm more of a fan of the early stuff when she was on the B3, she definitely did the makeover thing. But that's what it takes to get masses these days and I'll never begrudge anybody for making a little cash doing what they love.

I know labels need to sell "product". I really didn't notice how hot she was until "Paris" though.

I assume she wears contacts too otherwise she'd fall 10 feet off the stage.

First time I saw her was about 3 years ago at the first Hangout Fest. She must have had some kind of corrective contacts because she toed the edge of the stage for her set and did a pretty good job meandering around Gov't Mule's stage set for a few songs w/ them.

not neccesarrily true. I'm legally blind and glasses or contacts do absolutely no good. So I wear neither. You guet used to it and find ways of working around it without others noticing becasue they don't have to deal with it. In fact most people don't know I'm blind til I tell them.

I'm short sided and without my specs I'm as good as blind.

So I respect any blind or nearly blind musician. Hell I respect everybody but, especially you guys.

  14. I hate to be the guy who says it, but they were way better 4 years ago. They are way to pop now.
