    hello everybody,
i´ve been thinking of adding an graphite-neck equipped axe to my two stingray 5´s (one fretted, the other fretless). since i dig the feel of the stingray very much, i thought of buying a used one and fitting it with a status replacement neck. therefore my question is: is there anybody that has had experiences with a modification like that, and if so, how did the thing sound & feel ???
    keep on grooving everybody,

I did a trade with a guy a while back who wanted to do this. He took a Stingray 5 that I had and ordered a graphite neck from Status, but I'm not sure how it turned out. Email me off-list and I'll give you his email address...you can ask him directly.

Sounds like a great idea. I've always loved the way Stingray 5's play and sound. Add a graphite neck and rear-rout the body so the pickguard can go away, and it'd be a fabulous bass (just my opinion).
