    Thank you!!!

My wife is planning to retire in a couple of years, when she does we'll pack the RV to visit the SouthEast... In the mean time, shorter trips, closer festivals.

The Sierras just got snow last week, and high temps are expected in the mid-to-high 80Fs in Grass Valley, so it will be interesting to see how well we pack for mixed weather. We'll be stopping in Mammoth for a few days on the way back.

Looks like you'll have some of our locals, Carolina Blue is out of Brevard NC I believe. Haven't caught 'em live yet but WNCW spins their stuff regularly.

I think the Appalachians will always be home for me, but if it's two things I love about being out West it's the scenery and the weather. Love how green the grass is out there in the spring, I bet it'll be gorgeous.

We're driving slowly home, camping in Mammoth Lakes now...

Had a great time at the festival, lots of jamming (which is 90% of why we go to festivals).

The Luthier Pavilion was a big magnet for us, while at the festival my wife and I both got complete Gold Evo re-frets done by builder Austin Clark on our main fretted instruments (me, banjo, her, guitar), and they play like butter now. I had Austin similarly do a Gold Evo re-fret my mandolin 2 years ago at Grass Valley so we knew what we wanted this year.

I also bought a nice CF DB bow and a heavy duty wooden DB kart with big nobby air-filled tires for off-road traversing the festival. So we both made out like bandits.

I played DB for most jams and it was great fun. Hated to see it end!
