Gravina fretless 5

Discussion in '[OLD FORUM] Bass Guitars, Amps, and Accessories: F' started by mikezimmerman, Jun 17, 2004.

  1. I've got a lined fretless 5-string for sale. The name on the truss rod cover is "Gravina", but beyond that I know very little about the maker or history of the bass. However, it plays and sounds very good, and is an excellent option for someone who wants a lined fretless 5 for not a lot of dough. I'd hang on to it if my fretless Curbow weren't doing everything I want and more.

    Specs:
    -Maple/wenge set neck
-lined rosewood (I think) fingerboard with epoxy finish
    -mahogany body with purpleheart top
-EMG active soapbars with a passive tone control
-black Schaller bridge and Gotoh tuners

The only downside to this bass is that the finish is not buffed out very well. It's mostly satin, but there are glossy patches on it.

Asking $400. Comes with a beat up hard case. I'll try and get some better pictures, but it's the rightmost bass in the group shot here:
