I was perusing my local Home Depot and came across this tool backpack.

Husky 18 in. Rubber Bottom Tool Backpack in Red-68000H-18 - The Home Depot

I have used this backpack and it works great for carrying accessories (cords, pedals, books, strings, straps, clothes, tools, etc.) It is very rugged and has lots of pockets. I really like that fact that it stands up and does not flop over. The downside is the weight. It is a bit heavy even when empty.

I forgot to add that it is pretty reasonably priced at $29.

Not bad. Do you carry your bass in a gigbag on your shoulders, too? Can yo do both?

Backpack on back. Bass in left hand. Amp in right hand.

I am sure that you could sling a bass on one shoulder and backpack on other shoulder.

BTW, I have in no way been endorsed by Home Depot or Husky Tools to plug their products. That new Lexus in my drive way, Rolex watch and Armani suit has not affected my opinion one bit!

Wait; I can open it from the front and not fumble for items in a pile at the bottom like I do twice a week?
    Thanks; nice find.

  7. Kinda intereseted in this...Cheap, and there's a few DIY things I can do with it (mics, wireless, cables)...

    5800 Weatherproof Protective Rolling Carry-On Case - X-Large

but most of the time, everything I use goes into one of these...again cheap, but does exactly what I need it to do...

    20 in. Rolling Tool Bag

I've come to the conclusion that if my bandmate can't learn to set-up my equipment (Single guitar going into an amp that's not his), he won't be allowed to start the set until I'm finished setting up MY gear (bass and guitar...I play rhythm on a number of songs, and bass for the lead singer's songs that he supposedly wrote....yeah I'm an ******* for saying these things)
