Why, Jim!!! A guy who knows so much doggone music as you??? I'm appalled!!!! Think about how uncharacteristic the line is of Paul's very supportive style. I read this tidbit years ago in a George Martin interview but here's a site that gives excruciating recording info - look on this page for the bullet-pointed quotations; Paul's comment on his playing guitar on the cut and Harrison's comment about Paul's guitar playing on it- http://www.tacoshell.com/spinalcracker/cgi-bin/search.pl?recording=t Most references just copy what the studio log for the album had in it. When they switched intruments for individual cuts, apparently nobody bothered to change the log. Now you are in the secret brotherhood of people who know this!
