There are a lot of long fills and solos on Individual Thought Patterns by Death that come close to 30s. I'm pretty sure the outro to The Philosopher (last track) is more than 30s.

Cliff Burton of Metallica's 'song' is called 'Pulling Teeth'...not 'Bass Solo Take 1' as stated by Dougray.

Actually, is real title is: Anesthesia (pulling teeth).
    some solo's:
-Classical thump ~victor wooten (solo or just song?)
-Cliff burtons solo on Orion it may not seem hard but listen closely to the diff. variations.
    -Tommy the cat ~primus
-Well, actually pretty much any primus tune....
    -Portrait of tracey~jaco
    -Donna Lee~jaco
-Chromatic Fantasy~(origionally Bach but adapted by jaco)
    -Aeroplane~Red Hot Chili Peppers
-Maxwell Murder~Rancid (maybe not 30 sex i dunno, but still not bad for a pick)
-Amazing Grace-victor wooten (with Bela Fleck)
i got alot more but im not gonna wast ur time reading this...

Chris Squire's The Fish (Schindleria Praematurus), Yessongs version.
  12. What about Billy Sheehan's 2000+ overdriven endless wanks?! Those are pretty nifty, if only for the sparse cool ideas that come up during his improvising.

Jeff Berlin "Joe Frazier Pt Two"
Alain Caron "Slam the Clown" and anything off Rythmn and Jazz
    John Patittucci "On the Corner"
John Patittucci "Got a Match" off of The Chick Corea Electric Band

Jaco on All American Alien Boy/Ian Hunter
Jeff Berlin on Manos De Piedra/Pump It
Stanley Clarke on School Days/School Days
