Great customer service from D'Addario!

    I had a set of short-scale D'Addario Halfrounds on special order for almost six months, and they came in a while back. Yesterday, I finally got around to putting them on my bass. The damn things were too short! The winding of the E string ended about 1/2" short of the nut, so I didn't even unwrap the rest. Of course, the store won't take them back because of the length of time since I picked them up and because the packaging was opened.

    I fired off an email to D'Addario with my tale of woe. They immediately offered to exchange them for medium scale strings. This is great customer service - it wasn't their fault I bought the wrong strings!

    I know whose strings I'm going to be using first from now on!

    One set of strings in exchange for a loyal customer. It looks like someone D'Addario has done the math. :cool:
