Great deal @ $300? Yamaha bass

This guy wants to sell a Yamaha 5-string very similar to this one below, for $300. His is translucent blue. I might be able to talk him down a little, but not much (that's the feeling I get. He doesn't want to budge much). The model number is RBX7___ something. 700 series with a letter after. I just can't remember the full model number, but it might be the same as this bass below, or very close. It looks about the same. He says its around 8 years old. Its made in Taiwan, I do know that. It has the clear label on the back of the body, down near the end pin and it states made in Taiwan.
