Hey I wanted you to know that your link is dead and that you may want to update it.
Just like Mel, the cook on Alice said "The best defense is a good offense." Looks like offense won in this instance!
That was posted like 16 years ago...
Hence the Mel ref. It's old enough to qualify!
It just took 16 years for the second post on this thread, it must be a record!!!
I thought this would be a thread about the 1985 Chicago Bears.
Not the steel curtain?
This is in the running for the greatest zombie thread of all time. Don't let it eat your brains.
So what? Are you implying that it doesn't deserve a response just because it is old?
Works pretty good.
I don't remember that as well as the 85 Bears team.
WHAT?!?! I thought being a Steelers fan was just like being a Cowboys fan. The past matters more than the present. The distant past . . .
(Yes I know the Oilers never went to a SB and the Titans went once and lost by a friggin' yard.)
Eh, I move on.
Fun times for sure, great teams in those days. But what they put on the field these days is a far cry from a great team.
No, I was just saying it took 16 years to have a second post to the thread...
If we're honest, we're both fans with one foot out the NFL door. The leaving line is a game of inches. I recall the Steelers defense with a certain amount of AFC Central pride and loathing. Back when hairy knuckled monsters roamed the fields with ill will and the smell of bengay, whiskey, cigarettes and blood. QB's were as likely to give a hit as take one and the only thing harder on them than a defender was their own coach.
Did you hear my current QB has a boo boo? He's pretty sure he'll be ok, but he's taking it day to day. I'm not sure how the worrying is going to affect his pedicure time and his colonic cleansing. It's dire enough there might be a go-fund-me for him should he miss significant social media time.
I'm much more interested in HOW you found the thread than why you responded to it Probably a more interesting story anyway!
Is G-K Growl reviewing posts starting at the forum's inception?
