I want to try out tons of high end bass shops to get an idea of what I want in a high-end bass. I live near bass and beyond and it's pretty sick. thanks

Check out Bass Northwest in Seattle. Everything from beginner instruments to vintage Fenders that cost way more than I'd pay for a car.

+2 great guys and a great shop (Bass San Diego)

In LA, MesaBoogie Hollywood usually has some Sadowskys and Nashes. Plus it is on "guitar row" on Sunset - though it is a shadow of its former glory days (guitar row, not the shop). LA Bass Exchange in Sherman Oaks usually has some interesting stuff as well.
