Great local talent!!

My friend across the street is having a graduation party for his daughter and his band is playing. Three piece: he plays drums, a guitar player who's just playing acoustic right now, a bass player....WOW!!! One of the songs they played was a version of "Josie" by Steely Dan and it was amazing. His bass player is one of the best I've heard! Has a great Jaco kinda tone but plays with his own identity. The kinda guy you'd love to take lessons from.

Great band and the bass player is one of those who makes you realize how much practicing you need to do!

I didn't expect any response here...and that's okay!

These guys were GREAT!! One of the songs that really amazed me was "For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield. They did a total rearrange of it and I didn't know what it was until the vocal came in. Kind of a smokey funk (if that makes sense) that picked up and really kicked later. "Mrs. Robinson" by Simon and Garfunkel was equally inpressive.

It always amazes me to realize how much talent is out there. Just when you think you're making a bit of progress, there's someone right across the street who can do it so much better than you and that's very inspirational. Fabulous band, great bass player!
