Great New Bass

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by BassistGod, Oct 21, 2002.

  1. Just got a mint condition fender geddy lee bass off ebay. I love it! I'm so impressed with its warm tones, and great classic look. Not to mention great playablility and fast neck. (kinda heavy though) Its basically all I've ever wanted in a bass. The only bad thing I've found with it is a little rattle when I pluck the e string hard. I've looked everywhere to find the source of the rattle but haven't been able to find it. I checked the bridge, tuners, pots, even the electronics cavity, but can't find it. I don't mind because the rattle doesn't come through the speaker, but its just one of those annoying things keeping it from being nearly perfect.

Look at the nut. The slot for the E string may have worn and now it's too big. Just an idea

  3. I have a feeling it could be that. What can I do if it is?
  4. well obviously replace it it.
