Anybody have any suggestions on great tapping bassists whose tunes (originals or arrangements) you'd like to see the transcriptions of?

Other modern techniques are cool, (i.e. harmonics, etc.), but I'm most interested in cool songs and arrangements.

Jean Baudin - any solo song by him...
John Myung - Metropolis Part 1
Stuart Hamm - Flow My Tears

Also, another great thing is taking classical pieces and turning them into 2 hand tapping...example, i did it with Canon in D.

I know he's a regular guitar player and not a bassist, but I suggest Stanley Jordan. His technique is out of this world.

    rock on!

I'm not into the traditional tappers, but I'd like to see some of Arif Arif Mirabdolbaghi's stuff tabbed out. Recently I've been trying to transcribe his tapping part in Bloodmeat.

    but not very hard...:atoz:
  7. There are too many Michael Mannring tunes to list, so pick one!

Stu Hamm, mainly cos his stuff is deep and melodic unlike Sheehan's tapping use in a bass "solo" context

  13. Guys i need some help. I want to buy a new bass guitar. I got a choice of buying yamaha trb 1006, warwick double buck or an ibanez 1206 prestige. Which one should i go for, i want something with growl and clear note definition

try them all out...though, personally i think the ibanez is amazing for tapping and beings that the preamp in it has a gain control, you can get a ton of growl!
