  1. The Green Machine is up for sale! This stunning jazz bass is in excellent condition. Beautiful quilted maple top on swamp ash body, Pat Wilkins trans green finish with matching headstock, ebony fretboard, and black hardware! Here are all the juicy high end specs:

-Warmoth swamp ash body with quilt maple top and Pat Wilkins trans green finish
-Warmoth maple neck with ebony fretboard and matching Wilkins trans green headstock
    -Aero jazz pickups!
    -Glockenklang 3 band preamp!
    -Schaller bridge
    -Schaller BML light tuners
    -Dunlop strap buttons

You'll notice an 18v battery box, but it is loaded with just one battery for the 9v preamp. If you want to swap pre's for an 18v you are good to go. The batter box is missing two screws, but the two it has holds it perfectly. You'll also notice two holes peeking out behind each tuner on the back of the headstock. These were from before the tuner upgrade.

This bass plays amazing with low action and sounds just incredible. Push/pull volume pot for active/passive option. Passive gives it that classic jazz sound but the active pre gives a SWEEEEET modern bite and just incredible slap tone. One of my favorite preamps.

I tried to capture the quilt maple, but as always, it doesn't show up quite right in pictures. The darker green pics more accurately reflect the color. Think hard candy green. The parts alone spec to at least $1500 if you were to build it on your own. Here is a link to detailed pics: Green Machine Custom Jazz pictures by andyspublicpix - Photobucket

    This is cool :D

  4. Lots of PM's replied. Not really looking for trades unless you have the right 5 string jazz. I may even build or mod one with Aeros and Glock pre!

    Weight?
    Neck Dive?
Any dead spots or intonation trouble area?

    Thanks,

  6. It looks like a bit less than 8 lbs on my analog bathroom scale with the weigh me and then weigh me with the bass method. Let's call it 8 or so if you are one to obsess over a few ounces, but either way it is light.

No dead spots or intonation issues.

  7. Missed this one...

No neck dive. Virtually impossible with the horn at the 12th fret and Schaeller light tuners.

That is sweet! Nice grain on that decking too. There's got to be a hamburgler hidden in there somewhere.

I assume the Warmoth neck is a jazz neck (as opposed to P), correct?

Do you know if it is the Regular or slim taper?

  10. Correct. Not sure on the taper spec.

I bought a guitar from baba a while back, and it was exactly as he described it. Buy without fear.

    Sweet bass

Are the aeros the type 1 single coils?

  16. Given the sound, I think so, but can't confirm for sure. If they have distinct markings you know of, I could check.
