Does it make a big difference what kind of grill cloth you put on your cabs? Are some kinds of fabric too thick to let the sound through, or is most fabric fairly transparent? I've got a bunch of relatively thick cotton (not quite as thick as upholstery) with cool glitter on 1 side that I'm thinking about using. Thanks!

I've only ever used metal grilles so I'm not really qualified to answer. But I have noticed that there are some "acoustically transperent" cloth products on the market that simultanously repel liquid (ie beer spillage). You could always add your favourite glitter - then we could call you Disco Stu :)
