{} Groove Tubes STB-P Tube Preamp for Bass (basis for the SWR Studio 220). I ran my '73 PJ through it into an Ampeg rig, gave it a nice, warm tone. Works great, maybe a little scratchy in some of the pots. Before me this saw use in a local recording studio. I have always known it to be rack mounted and it does show wear on the mounting ears. One of the handles is slightly bent. It does show minor wear consistent with its age. I think these were made in the late '70's, early '80's (saw an eBay listing from Japan that suggested early 1990's). Maybe some of you can chime in on the accuracy of that statement. I am asking $300 obo, via PayPal or cash, shipped CONUS only. I am not looking for trades at this time (unless you have a Carvin BRX212 or MB12 or GK MB212). {} {} {}
Seems like I remember this getting a pretty good review in a Bass Player Magazine shootout of bass preamps a long time ago.
