Man, I had no idea this thing was worth so much. Last one went on ebay for 370$ after shipping. You can't see it in the picture, but on the back there is an unswitched outlet, which means you can plug something into the back for power and it can be turned on and off independently (useful if you don't have a conditioner or something). 2 Rack spaces, footswitchable EQ.

How about.....275$ Shipped and Insured w/paypal or money order, CONUS with US funds

I'll trade for an EH HOG in a heartbeat. or maybe something along the lines of a 15 or 210 cab that would complement my DB359 well

Here's the story: Groove Tubes was located "across the street" from SWR. They bought the extra chassis's(sp.?) after SWR was done with their original amp. If you look on the back the electronic info is wrong, its for the SWR. 9 AMP for a preamp? Yeah, right.

Should have better pics up later. Front shot looks really weird. At first I thought it was dust reflected in the sun. Then I checked it and its not dusty.

It looks like an SM400, too - it's just missing the balance knob. Great pre - someone should grab it NOW!

    What year(s) was this made?

Here's my line of thought: This was the chassis from the SWR Studio 200 (not the 220), which was around till 1987. Has to be 1987 or later. Probably late 80's.
Ya know its funny squarewave, I can't read your posts without Peter Sellers' voice in my head.

    He was brilliant.

Nice Preamp. I think it is a good value for the feature set-

    12AX7 tube
    Limiter
    Aural Enhancer
    Bass and treble shelving controls
    Four band semi-parametric EQ (31Hz-1.5Hz)(footswitchable)
    Variable crossover
    Balanced output
    Headphone jack
    Effects loop

Forgot this was still on here. Alright, 275$, but that's as low as it goes.
