Hey everyone i would really like some help I have a 2013 60th anniversary issue American Fender P deluxe. It is an awesome bass and I have loved it for many years. It creates a really loud buzzing sound and I really would like it gone as it effects the sound to the point where its almost unplayable at high volumes (gigs). I have Tapewound strings on the bass, i recently went to get it looked at by a technician at a shop, he said that it is because Im not grounding the bass when i touch the strings.

When I touch the pots bridge or tuning pegs the buzzing sound gets louder, but if i touch the metal around my rack case or the metal on my amp or the metal on another amp i have (thats not plugged in or turned on) The buzzing gets quieter!

I have tried it with a few different amps the same problem occurs just at slightly different intensities. I am hoping there is a way I can fix this issue with out having to change the strings as i really do like the feel and sound the tapes are giving me.
