Grounding question

    I was looking at Jazz Bass wiring diagrams. Wht does Fender use a bridge ground and a grouding lug? Answer could help me with grounding issue on a DJ 5
  2. The grounding lug on Fender basses is to ground the conductive paint shielding, since you cannot solder to it.
    Just solder a wire from the back of any pot to the ground lug.

    As far as the bridge ground goes, the strands of the ground wire are usually fanned out and the bridge screwed down on top of them, so they are firmly sandwiched in between the body and bridge.
