  1. I found out today from the head of the economics department at the University of Southern California that I've been accepted to USC's master's in economics program. I'm movin' to L.A., folks!

Congratulations. :) I should probably start considering whether or not I'm going to apply, or if I'm going to take my chances and dive into the workforce.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll be fine. Just don't be distracted by the glamorous west coast lifestyle that awaits you. ;)

    really? Um...why? :D
  8. The downtown area's nice, there's less pollution than LA, people are more polite, and (oh yeah) the weather, too.

I once had impure thoughts. Oh, and I pluck my ear hair.
    Congrats, you smug bastard! ;)

My undergrad is actually in Econ. I'm currently in grad school for an MS in Project Management through Univ of Wisconsin.

    Congrats Pete!

I've heard that USC has a real kickass jazz program with faculty including Peter Erskine, John Clayton, Russ Ferrante, and Leon "Ndugu" Chancler.
  13. I'm sure it's badass; perhaps, if I have time, I could be in a student jazz ensemble. I certainly won't be able to do an original, gigging rock act, however.
