    Time for some fun

Here are two samples of completely different pedal distortions. They may be fuzzes, ODs, who knows. i played them on my SB-2, neck pickup soloed at 80% for a "p-bass" vibe.

Please vote in the poll and state which distortion your prefer, and why.

Then ask a single yes or no question about one or both of the pedals - no sneaking double questions into a single sentence - if you try, I will answer neither! You may ask additional questions after at least one other person posts inbetween your posts

    Here are the clips:

I like #2 because it is ruder.

Is there a large difference in price between them?

    then VOTE for #2!

the price difference is about 90-100 dollars new, so yeah, the cost difference is siginificant

  4. is there the possibility of improving the eq on the second pedal?

#1. It sounds bassier, fuzzier, less treble buzz, and more what I would want in a distortion/fuzz.

I have no idea what it is though. :p

Yeah #2 is kinda thin, #1 is waaay more usable sounding. So I would have to go with that.

at the moment however, the vote is tied

when you ask "bass specific" which one do you mean?

  10. Is #2 a clone of a classic fuzz pedal?

SInce I can ask one question, is #1 a newer pedal (not necessarily the design, but this version of it)?

yes, it is based on a classic fuzz circuit

both pedals are current manufacture. I'm not really sure of their original release dates but neither is brand spanking new

    Voted #1
    #1 has potential
#2 sounds like AM radio, too thin.

    Is #1 less expensive than #2 ?
