    Hey,

I'm considering swapping pickups on my Guild Pilot 5-String, as I may want to turn it all passive. Instead of EMGs, I'm thinking of going with DiMarzio's Ultra Jazz 5s.

My question is, which (if any) will fit the pickup slots? These pickups are made for a Jazz Bass, not really a Pilot. Will I need two neck pups? Two bridge pups? Can I get the set of Neck & Bridge? Or will these not fit altogether, and is there an alternative?

Any information would be greatly appreciated :)

EDIT: I know they say the body will need some routing to fit on a standard Jazz Bass V. I'm looking to not have to do body work, and keep it simple.

My guess is it would be two bridge length pickups. That's how my Ibanez 5 string is.

Just measure the pickup. The bridge pickup is 94.7mm (3.72")

I always felt the two EMGs in that bass sounded too similar.
