Someone is selling an 8 or 9 year old Guild Pilot 5 string fretless, with a case for $750. It seems to be in perfect condition and plays real well. It's got 2 volume and 1 passive tone control with EMG's. Seems like a nice bass, but is $750 too much? I've heard of basses like this costing quite a bit less.

Oh yeah - it's also a 34" scale not 35". I don't know exactly when Guild started making 35's. Does that make a big difference? The B string did seem a bit floppy (but it still sounded good).

Sounds high. I haven't really kept my eye on the Pilots but the ones I've seen are far less. They're decent basses.
