guitar amps...(this has to do with bass also)

    Ok i use a gorilla guitar amp that i bought for $20 at a garage sale. does plugging into a guitar am have any affect on the sound that a bass amp would improve? please reply. -alex
     
  2. The bigger the speaker, the bigger the sound! You'd absolutely love a big amp. I can guarantee it! Huge difference. But you haven't got to have it to have some fun on the bass. Use what you got 'til you luck into something bigger and better.

    From my knoweldge, most guitar amp speakers aren't made to handle the excursion that bass provides. Thus you may eventually blow the speaker. From the two times that I personally tried it, I noticed a large lack of low bass (mainly when on the E string), but other than that it didn't sound too bad, a little nasal maybe (through a Yamaha G212 and an Epiphone EP-808).
