i know that u can use most guitar fxs on bass, but i heard guitar distortion pedals can destroy your amp. is this true??

No. Not true. Overdriving the amp itself can be bad. Guitar distortion can give your tweeter a hard time. But it won't kill it.

No problem at all, like tmo33, it may give your tweeters a run for their money, but nothing destructive. My entire pedalboard consists of "guitar" pedals. Some are tweaked a bit internally, most are stock and work great. Don't limit yourself to pedals with bass in the name, you'll never have a great pedalboard that way ;)

I have fun sometimes with my brother's Boss DS-1. (Like this morning)
