A Boss MT-2 Metal Zone and a Digitech Whammy keeps me entertained for hours :D

i've used a metal zone and it was pretty low-end friendly

  5. I like me T-Rex Moller (has a mix knob so you can keep that bass signal) and my old Hot Tubes like what kim from sonic youth uses. best guitar pedals for bass IMO.

The EHX microPOG and Moog MF-101 sound like bliss.

As long as it takes a 1/4" plug and is functioning any pedal will work on bass, how it actually "effects" the sound of your bass is pure taste.

I don't know about the MicroPOG (I always assumed it was targeted at guitar AND bass players) but the Moog stuff isn't aimed at guitar - they were made to work with just about any input.

As for the original question - um, let's say everything but gain pedals. Why not?

You see until the last few years there were just pedals and you picked the ones you liked.

I'd say outside of a lot of "metal" distortions, ODs and some fuzzes it doesn't really matter.

Ok I will throw you a bone: HAO Ruble mod: made for guitar has better lows then their "bass" OD the Rust Ride.
