I was thinking of getting a guitaramp combo for highs with my bassamp for lows and mids (like Jack Casady does). How many watts should the guitaramp have related to the bassamp? Would a 50W alltube 1x12" guitarcombo be enough with a 300W SS head and 2x12" basscab? Any recomendations for amps to look for?

i would cut the bass on the guitar amp to make sure you don't blow the speaker. a 50 watt tube amp should be plenty for using with a 300 watt bass amp

Or you could get a three way cab which i bet would be cheaper. Accugroove is one of the most popular 3-way cabs.

  4. yep, but it would not be the same...

    i would recomend a 50w tube combo 1x12 or 2x12.
    laney, orange, ampeg or marshall.
or maybe a fender twinreverb or a music man 130/4x10? just try to play through some and see what works the best.
