www.guitargeek.com is up and running again I love this site gives me great ideas for effects and stuff.

    They've got reviews and interviews.

BTW I don't work for them and this is not free advertisment just think the effects freaks that we have here would like to check it out :D

Then we would do well to put this in the "Effects" Forum

Then they can "cheak" it out to their heart's content:p

that site would be alot better if it had more than 13 bassist that range a little from "nu-metal" and "pop-punk" (this excludes dirk lance and nate mendel)

jeff ament has (well...more like "had." that chain isn't updated...) one of the most complicated signal chains guitar or bass!

the new lay-out is pretty cool. it gives much more info on the instruments.

i'll definitely start "cheaking" it out now that it's finally up again.

    youe mean this one?

i'm still trying to figure this picture out, sooo many pre-amps..
  7. Wow....that picture is insane :D. What happened to the good old "bass plugs into the head which plugs into the cabs"? I sure would hate to be Jeff's bass tech :p.

who would've guessed that he used that many effects?

i didn't know that he ever used a whammy or flanger or anything, and i have all of pearl jam's cds!

    drunk with power?

well, go check out eddie vedder's or stone gossard's signal flows. those are fairly simplistic. maybe they talked sense into bandmate jeff after a while.

dirk lance's is pretty weird, too. but at least his complicated chain has a funcitonal purpose: one gig, one of his pedals crapped out, disabling his entire signal at an arena show! so now he has a seperate signal going to and fro his effects.

power: sometimes it solves problems. most of the time, it corrupts.

the funny thing about this is that :insert bassist name: would play a rogue with an ibanez 10" and 90% of the people wouldnt notice the difference.....
