is there a web page like talkbass for guitars??????
Wholenote.com is the closest I've found. Sister site of Activebass.com.
does that seem to be full of on the level people? i'm an amature bassist myself but i was blown away by the quality of the responses you get on this board. i just randomly typed in talkguitar.com which took me to a site.....the first thread was 10 best guitarist......people were listing slash and the guy from faith no more.....so i assumed the site was crap. i'm trying to find a site for my buddy who plays guitar.
It's got it's knowledgable guys but most are morons. Activebass is the much better sister, but unfortunately, we bassists tend to be more dedicated than guitarists. May want to start there, they may know some other sites.
Dont we get a thread like this at least every month?
Maybe its just me but it is very irritating, and i know i shouldn't let such small things bother me, does anyone else feel the same way?
I agree. Don't let little things bother you.
Besides, a month is an eternity on the internet ...

dude...your being very un-dude-like.
What's wrong with the guy from Faith No More.
wow... i just went on talkguitar... scary place .
hey i was once a huge faith no more fan.......but top ten guitarists..........give me a break.
HEy man, i wasnt getting at you specifically, it's all good.
Hey, Talent shouldn't be determined by ability to shred. Maybe he's up there because he knows when to play and when not to play. I've heard him shred before which he can do very well. But for example... his solo bit on epic, the harmonization is fantastic...
That said... top ten... nah.
I use the www.seymourduncan.com forum all the time. Very cool guys there! Extremely informative too. Not near as big as talk bass, but I love the site...all my guitar needs are answered there.
