    I was just looking for any song to learn to keep me busy, and I stumbled across "Appetite for Destruction." "Sweet Child O' Mine" has an awesome bassline that's fun to play. Try to figure it out and play along with it. Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure its tuned down 1 step. I'm sure you can find the tab somewhere if you can't figure it out. It's complex sometimes. Have Fun!!!

    Definitely, I love playing that bassline. The guy has a really distinctive tone, though. Does he play with a pick or fingers? I've always played it with my fingers, but I dunno what he does.

    Yeah, some brilliant music came out of that band. Shame about Axl's voice! ;)

    I saw them live (he he....i was only 8) and i'm pretty sure he was playing with his fingers...he was always hitting the strings downwards...oh, plus i've seen a few videos....

    In Sweet Child O' Mine he also uses a chorus pedal

    In the booklet for one of my G-N-R cd's he is playing with a pick. Maybe he does both, like many people do.

    That song is played with a pick and it's tuned down a 1/2 step. I had to learn that song a while back for a cover band that I was in.
