A friend of mine will be talking about the work of G.I. Gurdjieff and J.G. Bennett this Friday at the Phinney Neighborhood Center in Seattle. Gurdjieff and Bennett were teachers of methods by which one might practice self-observation, and possibly transformation. Attention, intention, presence, and real sincerity are some key issues. The kernel of the Work is the process of self-remembering, which means exactly that: remembering yourself. In my experience, this was previously a very rare occurrence. Anyway, the talk is from 7:00-9:00 PM. The Phinney center is located at 6532 Phinney Ave. N in Seattle. The talk will be in Room 6 of the Upper (blue) building. It is open to any who wish.
