    Gut G string, highly likely from the Pirastro Carlos Henriquez Chorda special set. This string has been mounted and played. There is some wear at the witness points; see the photos. Second photo is the bridge point, third photo is the nut point.

    Not sure if anyone is interested in this, but check out the photo.

    That’s absolutely a Chorda. The slow twist is the tell. That separation will disappear when the string is under tension.
