Guyatone BC-X Bass Compressor

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by Duke of Prunes, Jun 22, 2002.

  1. Has anyone ever used/heard of one of these? It's not even listed on Guyatone's web site, so it's either really new or really old. It's part of the flip series so it has a tube in it. I'm just wondering if it's any good or if I should just get the ART Levelar or DBX 160a, both of which seem to be the most popular among TB'ers. I'm kind of new to the world of bass compression. :D

  2. If at all possible, try to find a Trace Elliott Dual Compressor, which will give you independent treatments of your hi & low ends in stompbox form. As for Guyatone, I dunno. Methinks it is a new item based upon my observations of the various catalogs that flood my mailbox periodically .
