Well I have a decision that needs to be made with the help of TBers... I am currently organizing a Danbury-area wide Battle of the Bands scheduled for early spring. Getting the venue set and held for this event is taking longer than expected. And the last venue offer I have been made at the local univeristy is a small size(under 600 ppl) gym. I've had experience with gym acoustics while playing at previous battle of the bands. My hopes of holding this event in a theater/auditorium with room in the front betwixt stage and seats seems to be diminishing. The University is offering 3 paid audio technichians to work at the event wherever it may be. oh..what should I do? Glenn
Would it be warm enough at that time to make it an outdoor gig? IMO that would be preferible to a gym gig if you could find a spot for it. brad cook
Good Ol Westconn... Danbury High School is second choice. Its gonna be a high school Battle of the Bands I think I'll have more problems with an outdoor gig than anything else. Its just so hard to get through to the administration to schedule something that they're not going to control and a venue thats available for the dates we want. Glenn
