My spector has gotten some over spray on it on the clear.....what do I use to remove it? I tried just Martins guitar polish but it didn't work ... thinking of just using a lil soap and water...

    what do you suggest?:crying:

sorry mate.. you're gonna have to use a blow-torch...

seriously I'd try some sort of goo-remover.. but nothing petroleum based or alchohol as that might cut the clear off the finish.. try in a hidden spot first if poss.
  3. If the Spector has a polyurethane finish, then you can use naptha, or denatured alcohol to break down the hairspray. If it's lacquer, just the naptha on a cloth with a quick wipe should do it too. Naptha evaporates VERY quickly so that's why you can use it safely on most of the finishes. This would also be a good time to switch to a water based hairspray :D
  4. You should be able to use plain warm water to dissolve that stuff. I mean, if it washes out of your hair easily enough, it should come off of clear coat...:)
Just dunk it in the bathtub.:ninja:

If it isn't water soluble, you're using the wrong stuff for your hair.

BTW, don't you know the 80's are over?!?:D

Try Brasso diluted with water or a clean damp cloth.
