Came across this new series while browsing amazon. They look promising and the guitar version have had positive reviews for the most part. I was intrigued so ended up pre-ordering the blues and jazz editions for $18 each. http://bassmusicianmagazine.com/2014/12/bass-books-bass-lesson-goldmine-series/ It'll be interesting to see how they stack up to Ed Friedlands, which have become the gold standard over the years
Im interested in the Blues book. seems to be much thicker than Ed's, which is what I'm working through now. I guess we'll see if the content matches the exra pages.
