    What would you do?

I stumbled into the living room and happened apon a very funny scene in a movie. So funny, I sat and watched the rest of it.

Here's the thing. I missed the first half of the movie. Part of me wants to go hire it on DVD to see what I missed. Part of me is wondering why I'd bother given that I've already seen the funny parts and know what happens.

    What would you do?

  2. Rent it. In fact, I'd give you the 5 bucks to go rent it if you would tell me what movie it is. I need a funny movie.

Fierce Creatures! I hope you like British humour. John Cleese is an absolute classic.

    Funny movie? Bad Santa.

I don't think I've laughed that hard in a loooong time. It's no Blazing Saddles, but really, only Blazing Saddles is Blazing Saddles.

  5. Why, it just so happens I love British humour!

Hmm...I don't know but I WAS considering renting some people to mow my lawn.

I can't believe you're doing a poll about whether or not you should rent a movie. Are you drunk?

Speaking of funny movies...maybe it's just because I was tired but I was watching the movie The Ladykillers tonight and I was cracking up hard at the part where the sheriff came over and the lady was talking to the professor under the bed.

And part of me wonders why sit in front of the PC for hours and make a thread about it on Talkbass when in this time you could've rented it and watched it at least three times ;)

Hours for one thread? You must have very slow computers in Hungary.

I've decided I'm going to "rent" it out, but I'm going to give it a few weeks so I can then enjoy the movie in it's entirity all over again.

Thank's everyone for your opinions. You can get back to your lives now.

"Fierce Creatures" was good, go ahead and rent it, BUT while you're at it, if you haven't seen it, rent "A Fish Callled Wanda". Same cast, different story, one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Cleese is a genius. :hyper:

    "...well, Mr. Manfredgenson..."

Cracks me up, every time. :D

I've never heard of this movie, however, if you see part of a movie & enjoyed it,,, you should DEFINATELY rent it... Its common place to rent movies you've already seen, & wanted to watch it again... How is this any different, just because you've only seen part of it???

Also, +1 for "A Fish Called Wanda"... INSANELY hilarious...

Oh No,, K-K-K-Ken's going to K-K-K-K-Kill me!!!!

Can't let a comedy movie thread go without mentioning The Princess Bride.

...Seriously. It's one of the funniest movies ever, people.

I own it on DVD. It's a fine movie.

"My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father: prepare to die."

and "Have you ever thought of a career as the Dread Pirate Roberts?"
