Gang I dearly love 4-string m7200 Pressurewound for feel and tonal range except for two wishes:
    - wish for a bottom beefier than 106
    - wish for a louder 1st, maybe 2nd. When I have everything adjusted like I want the 1st string is too timid unless I'm playing mid neck

I always play one whole step below standard tuning

Are there any other half flats you prefer that might fit the need?

    Thx

I like GHS pressurewounds a lot but they're not halfrounds.
Dean Markley, Ken Smith, Rotosound and SIT all make pressurewounds.
Jason from bassstringsonline prefers the Ken Smith Compressors.

Daddario, GHS, Ken Smith, Labella and SIT make halfrounds, which are much flatter than pressurewounds. I've never liked them.

I don't know which of these would have a beefier bottom end or a louder G than the GHS, but those are your options.
