I got this bass from a fellow TBer, and it's in such good shape I'd swear it was new. (I've seen lesser instruments sold as new, in fact.)

A Hanewinkel Classic Vector 5 string. Solid mahogany body (beautiful wood!), 3 band Bartolini preamp, Bartolini pickups, and a "P" switch for the neck pickup. Great playing bass, and one of the most comfortable instruments to play I've ever owned. Has a modern, R&B / Gospel sound, and is very capable of great P-bass tones. Sounds huge, just not my cup of tea.

Sells for $2500, asking $1450 plus shipping by FedEx (around $35). Comes with padded Hanewinkel strap and Hanewinkel gig bag.

As always, trades considered. Special consideration for jazz style instruments of similar value, but feel free to run something by me.

Man, I would LOVE that bass, but alas, all I have to offer is a 2005 Limited Edition MusicMan Stingray. :bawl:

Hey, I said 'special consideration' to jazz style basses - but that doesn't mean I can't be tempted into something else.

    What's the scale length?

Can you describe the neck shape?

    Email sent.

The scale length is 34". Neck shape is nice - thin front to back, shallow and very gracefull.

Great bass. Loved it when I had it. Truly thick and punchy tone. BTW, Pacman: check the headstock for the correct spelling of Pete Hanewinckel's name! ;)
