Happy Birthday, Carol. (Although I believe she would dispute having ever been in anything called The Wrecking Crew. ;))

Happy Birthday Ms. Kaye, hope you get to celebrate with family and friends. My first bass teacher encouraged me to work through some of your instructional materials, they were very helpful.

Another plus for a “pick” player who is a first call for studio bass work.

She doesn't get the credit she deserves. There are many people, including bass players who have never heard of her despite the fact that she has played on hundreds of well known songs and tv theme songs.

I've exchanged emails with her a few times. She's a very interesting person. She said she appreciated the fact that I addressed her as Ms. Kaye. She said too many people who don't know her call her Carol and she finds it disrespectful.

  20. She not only played on many great songs, she was responsible for the composition of certain iconic bass lines. I believe "The Beat Goes On" is one example.

While she didn't write the "Good Vibrations" bass line, it's one of my favorite things she's done. So smooth and melodic.
