I’m just about to hop on my motorcycle and ride past the Parliament Buildings, the Prime Minister’s residence and the Governor-General’s palace. Going to be interesting compared to the usual hundreds of thousands of people in that area in a normal year. Then I’ll come home and drink some Molson Canadian while grilling some Bison burgers. Hope all you other hosers find a way to celebrate.
Well, it’s 90deg in the shade today and my pool is almost ice-free. Gonna be a good one. Cheers Happy Canada Day everyone
Just got back from my ride. At one point I saw a young dude on a street corner playing O Canada on his bass! Sunburst/Tort P through his Fender Rumble!
HAPPY CANADA DAY TO OUR CANADIAN BASSISTS & THEIR FAMILIES! I wish I could make a trip north like I used to for Canada Day festivities.
Happy Canada Day! Kinda chilly here today, so we're mostly hanging out indoors. The maple syrup ribs won't be ready for another 3 hours, so I'm going to have a Canadian beer and play some bass.
Happy Canada Day Floated around in the pool drinking Alexander Keith’s and eating hamburgers. Just happy to be getting paid to do so.
I went fishing for the first time today. Or at least something approximating the experience. No fish were caught, but I was knee-deep in water and I got to see some trees and wildlife. Whatever you're doing, We stand on guard for thee.
Yah, it was Africa hot yesterday! We had one family over to our house yesterday. We did not allow them in the house, we had wipes set up so they could wipe down anything they wanted. It was a great time! @Roland GR 88 ... my pool got all the way up to 77F yesterday! It'll be soup before this 2 week heat wave is all said and done! Fishheadjoe
Thats the essence of fishing, @pie_man_25... for me anyways. Just being out in the boat and casting my line is what makes it for me. Sometimes I get disturbed by catching a fish!
I was hardly able to cast my line, I think I spent significantly more time untangling my efforts at casting a line, and giving up and cutting it all off and starting over again than I did anything else. It's the learning process, embrace the suck.
For me, it's all about being out in the boat and being able to see from shore to shore. That feeling of being "freed" of the confines of city living, big sky... heck, if I have to, I might even fish! Fishheadjoe
And you’ll figure it out. I cast my first line and caught my first fish at the age of four about 50 years ago! If I could do it back then, you can do it now!
Yes. Also, milk coming in bags is mostly an Ontario thing. Not everybody calls it a Chesterfield. Most of us don't know Jake from Canada. We don't elect a president, he's actually appointed by the talking moose. And our weather is not cold all the time, I went out to get milk today and it was a balmy 25 Fahrenheit out.
