    Hi,

I need to share my joy and also ask a for advice.

2 week ago I bought a Lakland Bob Glaub (Skyline),
and I am having a "walking in the field naked with my new bass" moment. I really love this bass!

For some reason the feel and the sound is just what I wanted,
additionally the back of the neck is not glossy, the shape of the neck fits my hand perfectly and the weight of the bass is reasonably light (8.5-9Lbs).

The thing that really got me to buy it right away was that the bass simply inspires me when I'm playing it. I forget the instrument and just play.

Now the only problem so far is I had one rehearsal with it, and it did'tn cut through the mix as much as my Spector rebop (strung with flats) did. This was confirmed by the band members too after the jam.

So I'll have to change my settings, eq or something.
The local we rent has an Eden combo amp with parametric eq
(see it here!) (not sure what the model is)

I kind a like thestrings that came with it too so I'm not really willing to start changing strings and all unless it's the only solution. We play rock/alternative music and have a drummer and two loud and neil youngish distortion heavy guitarists.

If you any suggestions for me to cut a bit more through the mix please share!

    Thanks,

bump you low-mids a bit, and also, where is the tone setting on your bass?

Put flats on the Lakland, and your in business.

    it was at max.

So I guess boost low mid's and consider flats again.

    thanks!
