hardest technique or song that took you the longest to learn..or master..

    ...my room...
    I really haven't mastered much...
    maybe YYZ and black bird by jaco pastorius. But im wondering What is something that took you a real long time to just, get the damn thing right; and if your a perfectionist: how long did it take for you to master it?

    Teen Town by Weather Report. Haven't mastered it yet in fact, a couple of months down the line. I can do it at a *reasonable* tempo, but certainly can't do it along with the record.

    I still work on playing it better than I do, and it was one of the first songs I learned all the way through.

    It took me awhile to really get the feel of Darling Dear by The Jackson 5. I could play it along with Gerald Veasley on Dr. Lick's SITSOM, but Jamerson has a feel about how he plays. It really took me some time to get the line to flow the way it does from jamerson's finger tips.
