I need a new main bass rig. I have looked at the Hartke 3000, maybe the 4000. Yesterday i found a 1998 Eden WT-300, like new, with new tubes.
So, used Eden or new Hartke? I play rock, jazz, blues, funk.. Allmost everything except the heavyest metal..

  2. i would say the eden, quality is quality

  3. I own an Eden and it demolishes every Hartke I've tried so I would buy the Eden.

  4. No question. Eden. Hartke is good, but Eden is definitely a few notches above in quality.

If the Eden is in good shape, grab it! If you decide on Hartke, get the 4000.

    I owned the HA4000. I loved it.

However, I came across a used WT400...so I traded my Hartke in on it plus some cash and never looked back.

Eden all the way. The Hartke, while very good, is not even in the same ballpark...er, not even the same state as an Eden.

If I can get a nice price I'll go for the Eden..

Next step is finding a cab for my needs.. :help:

Or go for the below (yeah, I know, shameless plug... :smug: ). It has the classic Eden tone with more juice than the 300, plus is under warranty, etc...

I have an Eden Wt-300 and I have found it to be an
excellent piece of equipment. I would not hesitate to buy it
if it is in good condition. Great amp.

it took me exactly 1 picosecond to decide. EdEn

i sold my hartke5000, which i had for quite some time, and replaced it with a used wt-300.

i have exactly not ONE regret on the sale/purcahse, and i pretty much got hosed on the hartke price (imo). I do not look unkindly on hartke either.

the eden is lighter, as loud (watts etc), sounds great pluged in and flat, has killer tone shaping, is smaller, and is lighter. It is also lighter and smaller.

(well then there is that nemesis...)
